A Safe and Friendly Environment

Despite the, sometimes, prevailing idea that martial arts can be a dangerous activity for children, in actual fact Taekwondo is a safe and worthwhile activity for kids to participate in. At Prahran Taekwondo, we always maintain an environment which ensures that every pupil is always comfortable in every activity they undertake. This is something that is especially important when it comes to our children’s Taekwondo classes. We make sure that all students are able to excel in a non-threatening environment so that everybody can reach their own personal goals. Furthermore, our gym provides a physically safe environment with experienced trainers at the helm of our classes, who always put safety first.

The Benefits of Children’s Martial Arts

Taking martial arts as a youth is a sure-fire way to teach your child valuable life skills such as self-discipline, self-confidence and the value of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Martial arts are a great way to teach personal development by achieving short term goals through hard work. Taekwondo gives your child a chance to help develop him/herself, while also teaching them to be able to defend themselves.

Class Times

Taekwondo classes for children take place every Monday at 4.30pm and 5.30pm and every Wednesday at 5pm and 6pm. Alternatively, there are also options for private classes at any time of the day if your child wishes. All of our classes are open to children from the ages of five and up.

Parents Always Welcome

We encourage the active participation of parents in their child’s martial arts education. This means that parents and guardians are always welcome to watch sessions or even join in if they wish.
